This is the Directory of LARP sites, or LARP friendly sites in the Midlands which can be booked for events. We've listed many of Scout Sites which we believe have been used in the past, but its always worth checking
Blackwell Adventure
Blackwell Adventure is a unique, fully equipped outdoor activity centre available to a wide range of customers. We boast 50 acres of beautiful parkland and are superbly located within five minutes of the M42 and M5. Consall Scout Camp
Consall Scout Camp is situated in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands, between Leek and Cheadle.
The Camp itself has...
The Gibson Building- 2 storey, centrally heated building with a kitchen and dining area on the ground floor. The dining area doubles as an activity room in wet weather. On the first floor, are 3 rooms which sleep a total of 34 persons, 6, 10 and 18 respectively. On the ground floor there is a two bedded ensuite disabled bedroom, the toilet and shower are designed for use by the disabled.
The Clifton Building- is situated adjacent to the Gibson Building ,is a single storey building, centrally heated, suitable for smaller groups. It comprises of a kitchen, activity / dining room and 3 bedrooms able to accommodate 20 (8-8-4).
Pointon Cabin – This is a single storey, wooden constructed building, approx. 56′ x 20′. It comprises of a kitchen, large activity/dining area.Sleeping capacity for 20 persons in 4 bedrooms, of which 2 rooms each have four bunks .The other 2 bedrooms have 6 bunks in each, It is possible to accommodate extra persons however they would have to use carry mats and sleep in the main room on the floor. This building benefits from an air to air heating system.
Camping Areas – There are numerous camping areas, and water points throughout the camp..
Toilet and Showers. There are male and female toilet and showers facilities alongside the Gibson building for use by people using the Gibson and Clifton buildings. There is a modern toilet and shower block by Windy House Cabin. and there is also a modern toilet and shower facility near to the main camping area. Showers are free to use

Huntley Wood

Site details
Actually 3 self-contained sites, as follows:
Greenvale, ~70 acres
Wyldwood, ~30 acres
Deepmere, ~60 acres
which can be hired independently or together.
Run by LRPers, with an emphasis on quality - all buildings are fully insulated with underfloor heating; toilets and showers are smart, modern, and cleaned twice daily; and all OOC stuff such as car parks and gas tanks are hidden away as much as possible.
Easy access from the A50, which joins the M1 at Derby to the M6 at Stoke-on-Trent, and nearby railway stations.
Huntley Wood now also have a separate Tent Hire arm which will rent you a IC Bell Tent for the weekend.

Johns Lee Wood Scout Camp
A Scout site which allows LARP groups to book the campsite on a whole site booking basis at the rate of one group a month from November till May.You would have exclusive use of the four cabins & the entire campsite except for the log sleeping shelters, our activity areas, the warden’s cabin & surrounding staff areas.

Rhydd Covert Scout Campsite
Rhydd Covert is a dedicated Scout and Guide camp site, run by Scouting volunteers and owned by Kidderminster and District Scout Council. It is made up of 45 acres of unspoilt woodland and grassed areas, which fall naturally into individual camping grounds of varying sizes, all with running water close by and vehicle access. Our immediate neighbours are the Rifle Range Nature Reserve, and the popular West Midland Safari Park (you may hear many strange and interesting animal noises during your stay!)

Root 'n' Branch Acres
Root 'n' Branch Acres is our 15 acre outdoor site in Warwickshire incorporating mature woodlands, small glades, new coppice trees, 10 acres of tree-lined fields, wooden buildings, site office, storage barns, parking and basic toilet and washing facilities.
As a company we moved onto Root 'n' Branch Acres with the aim of giving Seedling Productions a base to work out of as well as a home for our film animals and livestock. The Acres is a bio-diverse site that allows us to utilise it as our main small-holding as well as use it for outdoor recreational and educational event
Root 'n' Branch gives us both storage for sets/ costume/ props/ tents and marquees as well as a space to build new sets and props and experiment with outdoor historic and fantasy sets and architecture.

Rough Close Scout Campsite
Rough Close is a 43-acre campsite and activity centre located 4.5 miles from Coventry City centre. The site ranges over 43 acres of ancient natural woodland, which is criss-crossed by tracks and paths. This woodland together with its abundant wildlife make an ideal Scout campsite enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside whilst being within minutes of the City's urban civilisation.
The camping areas comprise of 2 large fields, 4 smaller fields and 10 pocket sites. Toilet and shower facilities are available with both hot and cold water.
The 'Norton' Cabin has indoor accommodation for 22 people, three bunk rooms each of six and two leaders room each of two, a fully equipped kitchen and an activity room. The 'Ma Williams' Cub Field is adjacent.

Sherbrooke Scout Campsite
The District site comprises of approximately 22 acres of undulating open grassland on the outskirts of the village of Calverton in Nottinghamshire. The Sherbrooke Scout Campsite Centre is situated to the far side of the Centre Field. It consists of one large main hall, a smaller secondary room, 3 sleeping areas, a large fully equipped kitchen and a toilet with disabled access. There are two more buildings on site

Sherratts Wood Scout Camp
Opened in April 2000,Sherratt's Wood is the Stafford District Camp Site.
Located 10 miles north of Stafford, the 20 acres of semi-natural ancient woodland, and 7 acres of cut grassland offer an ideal base

The Askey Lodge: Askey Lodge is a 5.0m x 8.4m single storey timber building located opposite the main camping field, and has been moved from it's original home at our old District Camp Site. It offers a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, double burner, fridge and microwave plus dining facilities for 24/30 campers. Alternatively, the building can be used as a base for day visitors.
The Toilet Block: Situated on the main camping field, it contains hot showers and facilities for disabled visitors.
Above the toilet block there are 2 large rooms which provide emergency alternative accomodation. These rooms house tables and chairs, a fridge, pool table and table football.

The Gaol
The Gaol is actually a commercial airsoft site, but we're aware that it has been hired out for LARP events.
The Gaol offers intense Urban gaming in the unique environment of a former Prison. From up close and personal moving Cell to Cell, sneaking around in the darkened wings or in the open surrounded by Razor wire topped Security Fencing, The Gaol has it all.....
All our buildings are multiple levels, with a number of access points and a large amount of rooms to add to the players enjoyment.
This together with a large number of the Cells still having furniture within them adding to the sense of running around an active prison environment.

Ullesthorpe Scout Campsite
Ullesthorpe Scout Campsite comprises 8 acres of woodland with 2 camping fields it is situated in rural Leicestershire which is in the centre of the UK.
The site is managed as a Scout District Campsite for South Leicestershire Scout District, and aims to provide camping and pack holiday facilities for Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Guides and Brownies and is also available for other youth groups.

Willesley Campsite
Willesley Campsite is located 1 mile south west of Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire.
It occupies 14 acres of the old Willesley Hall and estate from which part of the original gatehouse is still visible. The site has open fields, patrol areas, a coniferous wood and its own church. It is ideal for many events and activities including Beaver sleepovers, Cub camps, Scout Patrol camping, Family camps and District events. There are two toilet blocks, both with showers. Activities include a 15 metre Climbing and Abseil tower, a rifle range, potholing course, archery range, crate stacking facility, karting, bouldering wall and several others activities. S
Altar fires are available for campers to use on there own pitches and a campfire circle is located near to the lake. The gatehouse and the cabin are available for indoor events or accommodation.
