Dark Herald Foundry

After many years of attending LARP events we always built our own weapons and armour. Every event we went to, our handiwork was greatly admired and many enquiries had been made as to their origin. Dark Herald Foundry was founded to bring that originality and quality to main stream LARP and cosplayers. We love our work, and that appreciation can be seen in everything we produce
We design and build your items from Best Quality 45 and 60 dense foam. All weapons cores are carbon fibre and tipped for extra strength and durability. All builds are internally reinforced for prolong use and life of the item. All items are finished in high quality paint and multiple coats of latex to ensure a long lasting quality.
We do not sell mass produced or moulded products. All our work is hand built and each item is a one off, there is no duplication of pieces. To own a Dark Herald Item is to own a Master crafted, singular piece that will last for years.

Fairyland LRP

It's 1996, 4 years have passed since Ebeneezer Goode topped the UK singles chart and the rave scene is still going strong. Hale-Bopp has just appeared in the sky and for those who know how to feel the vibe it feels like a magical time when anything is possible. Through coded pager messages, graffiti on alleyway walls and the ubiquitous flyers distributed in vinyl shops and pasted up in cities throughout the UK, you become aware of a rave being held in a remote section of woodland in South Wales. Its name: Fairyland.
Pack up your camping gear, grab your whistles, glowsticks and party supplies and get yourselves down there, for a night you're not going to forget.


Fairyland is a Live (Action) Role Playing (LARP/LRP event) by SparkLRP Productions, to be held in Candlestone Scout Camp on the weekend of the 28th - 30th June 2019.

The event is for 50 players and our intention is that players are IC from the moment they drive on site with the rave properly kicking off by 7PM Friday until midnight. Then time in again at 10AM on Saturday until the conclusion, which will be around midnight. Then there is time to froth and chill out before heading home on the Sunday.
THIS IS ALL PRETEND! It is most definitely not a real illegal rave or anything of that sort. We have full permission from the site for everything we intend to do and we in no way condone the use of drugs or any other illegal behaviour.

The World Went Dark

The World Went Dark is a new LARP game set in a post apocalyptic future not far away from today 

Few left alive these days can remember how it happened or even why, all they know is that once life was easy, with everything at the click of a finger. Not so any more, when the world went dark civilisation as it had been crumbled fast. National grids went down, water became scarce, cities became warzones as starving populations were barely held in check by the dwindling police and military forces of the governments. As things went from bad to worse and all form of order and law had abandoned the cities they became concrete jungles home to roving bands of people who would kill for a bottle of water or some dog meat. 

As time went on the cities eventually became tombs for skeletons and ghosts, with everything of use long scavenged from the gutted ribs of tower blocks, the streets now littered with the unfortunate remains of those who were killed in the early years, never buried, and food for animals and people who gave into their primal hunger.

There are rumours of life returning to the cities, but not the kind of life you would travel to indulge in, malls are now slaughter houses for the depraved, humans who can barely be described as such, whose wanton glutton knows no bounds and feast on poor souls who see the bright lights in the cities and seek out hope to find nothing but horror.

Most of the camps and settlements that have lasted are those that have stayed small, hidden in old quarries, deep in the woods or on small islands. Away from prying eyes and the chance of discovery, for every new person that finds what you have could be friend, or foe. And as less people are falling for the tricks of the depraved they have started scouring the lands for fresh meat for their meals and games.

Ork LRP

 The planet had no official designation. The Imperium of man referred to it simply as Sigma-Sigma-6. Other space faring races called it 'Nerava' which loosely translated to 'empty'. The Orks called it 'blue-green rock'.
 
The planet itself had little to no mineral wealth, no natural resources to extract, what it did have was strategic significance. All three factions could use it as a staging post or jump point to numerous other worlds and systems ripe for conquering. The Imperium of man sent their legionaries, well-equipped and well-motivated. The Orks..well..the Orks crashed a derelict starship filled with their brethren into the centre of the largest land mass.
 
The Orks spread like a cancer across the surface of the world, burning and looting their way through settlements and outposts. The Imperium lost millions of men to their bloodthirsty advance. As the Orks spread they formed an ever expanding circle of roving war bands but left a void in the centre as they advanced. The Imperium took advantage of this and landed their biggest drop-ships and war machines into that gap, in a desperate last attempt to rid the planet of the green menace, hitting the Orks in the rear as they advanced. The fighting was brutal and desperate, the Imperium fighting to reclaim its besieged world. The Orks fighting...because that’s all they know.
 
The Imperium broke through the Ork lines in many places, fracturing and splintering the Ork forces into separate roving war bands. They turned one distinct fighting force into hundreds of independent savage bands, without clear leadership or command structure (such as they had) the Imperium expected the Orks to fall into disarray and in-fighting. The Imperium was wrong. The Orks just...continued doing exactly what it was they were best at.
 
Our story surrounds a small war band of Orks, cut off from their brethren for many days. Running low on ammo and supplies, they search the wilderness for a settlement in which to resupply. A slight glow on the horizon and the reports from their scout Grotz tell them there is what looks like the remains of a Federation outpost only a day away. Its looks in pretty bad shape, but there is signs of life, and signs on conflict.

Blind Dogs

The end wasn’t heralded with a mighty blast, or an apocalyptic meteor, but with a single bullet. A single death. No one can truly remember the name of the victim, but he was the leader of the Nation, and his death brought about what you see now. With his assassination still fresh in everyone’s minds, laws were passed; soon, police and soldiers marched on the streets. This draconian rule quickly found opposition, and the fighting began.

For almost two decades, the civil war raged, with factions splintering into even more divided groups, until every area seemed to have its own warlords; fighting for land and becoming more and more vicious. Political doctrines drove a fevered savagery, which led to weapons not seen for decades being turned on the populace. Clouds of deadly gas, and mankind’s finest plagues, ravaged the Nation, and brought all to their knees. Even this was not the final blow to strike our Nation down, however.

At a place now known only as “Capenhurst”, the deadliest attack to desecrate our lands took its toll. Without the workers, the nearby nuclear reactor failed, adding its deadly energy to the toxic soup already spreading through the air. Folk worked quickly to protect themselves; taking refuge in bunkers, sealing themselves away in any building large enough to house them. This gas was seemingly held at bay by these measures, as it spread through the continent of Europe, and beyond.

Death became a blessing for many, and one by one, the sanctuaries fell silent, until only a handful remained. Those that remained mourned for those lost, and feared the night. For whilst the gas meant that travel between the settlements on the surface, without protection, would kill you in minutes, it was those the gas hadn’t killed, those it had given a different gift to, that were to be feared. With those of us left slowly dwindling, it seems to be humanity itself has begun to cough its final dying breath. Every day, I listen to my radio, stockpiling precious batteries, to try and hear a voice from far away; a voice from somewhere the creeping death has yet to reach.

Perhaps I’m but a Blind Dog, running in circles to chase a futile dream...

On Location

It’s 1932. At Tarrington Manor, a peaceful British country house, a cast and crew are assembled for the making of the film ‘Stolen Moments’. They are waiting for their director to arrive.

On Location is a stand-alone event, for 32 players, and is not linked to any other event or to any campaign. Characters are predesigned in skeleton, and players are encouraged and helped to personalize them by building on and adding to the character information that they will be given.  This is a larp about human drama and emotional exploration – there will be little action, there are no secret plots, and the rules and system are pretty much nonexistent.
On Location is aimed at people who enjoy internal and interpersonal tension, who like to develop and express their characters’ emotions through play, and who are interested in using a low-key open-ended approach to find and build engaging story and satisfying resolution.
We are an international group of designers and organizers, and we are expecting a mix of players from the UK and from other countries: so the larp will have a fully international flavour.

On Location previously ran successfully in December 2017. The next run of On Location will take place on 25–27th January 2019, and signup is now open – it will remain open until the end of 1st July 2018. The location is YHA Blaxhall, about 100 miles (160 km) north-east of London, UK. The standard ticket price is £180

X-Isle

e is a small (30 player), PvE LARP set in a fantasy world in which all the player characters have, for one reason or another, been exiled from their home nations and deported to a new land.

The player characters may been nobles exiled by their enemies, persona seeking freedom from religious persecution, rebels exiled by or fleeing from their enemies or criminals who have been deported. While they have been allowed to take their personal possessions (their weapons, armour, equipment and so on), they have no access to resources that they may have enjoyed at home, whether these are castles and retinues, businesses and lands, loyal congregations or shady criminal contacts. So whether you are a noble from the highest rank of society or a thief from the gutters of a city you will have to work together to survive and build a new life.

Twisted Tales

Set in a dark gothic fantasy world where humanity faces a constant threat from the Sidhe, fairy tale creatures which constantly push to take the rest of the world from them. The three remaining Kingdoms have formed a very loose alliance to stand against them but are separated by the large almost impenetrable wild of Woods and mountains. The Sidhe live in the wild places beyond the boundaries of civilisation, always seeking to gain more ground and change them to their own strange magical mystical realm. Typical Sidhe lands include woods, abandoned villages, strange old buildings, Fae circles; these are incredibly dangerous.

The Sidhe realms separate the three human kingdoms from each other by a giant stretch of forests and mountains. There are paths cut through these guarded by the troops from all three Kingoms under treaty and even isolated villages of those brave or desperate enough to live there, or too foolish to know better. These are maintained because some of the most important resources that allow the practice of alchemy can only be found in the Sidhe Realms.

No one dares travel upon the sea for this is the realm of the strange Kraken and other monsters. Only the few paths through the forests let the Kingdoms of man reach each other and trade. If they were ever to fall then the Sidhe would be able to defeat each kingdom separately and the Fae would finally own the world.

New World Adventures

The old world is gone, destroyed by a war to feed the gods of chaos insatiable appetites. All mortal creatures fought, all died. Or nearly every mortal creature. For some gods could see what was to come and hid away there favoured people where they could start again.

Millennia pass.

The old world is nothing but stories. The first people of the new land Heroes of legend. There is peace and the world prospers.

Destiny is all.

The population of this new world have been gifted with foresight. Many among the peoples, both the human Ragnumdees (Reg - num - ds) and long lived Celvestial (cell-vest-e-al), have found they have visions and prophecies of the future. So reliable these visions are that the world has come to rely on them.
At first look the world would seem very similar to feudal Europe; the human peasants work the fields or work a craft, they live mostly in small township, the few educated humans who can write manage estates or trade. But in every village there will be a wise, who is set apart, who advises when to plant crops, can predicts frosts and see dangers coming. Fore, while there is peace there is still dangers; rampaging trolls, outlaws and dead spirits to name a few. But then there is always a prophecy of a hero to defeat the danger; a brave knight, a unknown stable boy or even a mystical stranger who just passes through.
Everything is seen, every event prophesied, every destiny known.
This world is always lead by one human, who takes the name Arthur, meaning first. They gain the title after they complete the foretold quest; be it drawing a sword from a stone or finding a missing cup, and still there are many more prophecies about many more Arthurs yet to come. They are always advised by the Merlin, a Celvestial master oracle, and always followed by 10 High Knights, each a hero beyond all others. So it is and so it is destined to be.
Within this world lies Tirasir (Tie-rass-er) which is unremarkable in every way, except one. For here there has only ever been one vision, one prophecy seen in a thousand different ways but with the same message;

Here the winds blow and all become one.

Inquisition Chronicles

Attention Agents of the Throne!
By the Authority of the Immortal God-Emperor of Humankind, your service is urgently required in the Tungusk Sector.Imperial Order within the sector has fallen; the Sector Governor’s Winter Palace stands ablaze, and countless billions of souls teeter on the precipice of lawlessness, recidivism, and ruin.
 The Holy Ordos of the Tungusk Sector have been silent for over a century, and whatever vigilance they once discharged can no longer be said to be upheld. Now is the time for action and for duty, and Lord-Inquisitor Wrathchild has called together the Conclave Nova Tungusk to save the Sector.
Inquisitorial operatives from across the Imperium will be required to remedy this unforgivable failure, and to excise the corruption that has taken root within the sector. Canny investigators will need to comb sites of riots, assassinations, sorcery and worse besides to uncover vital clues that will lead them to the Imperium’s enemies. Incarceration

Incarceration is a high intensity horror game with themes of powerlessness and loss of control. The environment will be tightly restricted, lighting will be poor, time-in will be continuous and the threat level will be high. There will be no OOC areas, though we promise not to enter the toilet cubicles while they are in use.
 
We provide the food and costume, as well as basic bedding and toiletries. You may not bring prop weapons, although there may be the opportunity to acquire and use them in play. The site is not licenced for alcohol, and as there are no outdoor areas smoking is not permitted.
 
Comfort levels will be low, and many aspects of the game will involve a degree of physical exertion involving climbing ladders, crawling through tight spaces, and running. There will also be a strong focus on intense, continuous role-playing and problem solving under pressure.
 
Sleeping will be in communal areas, on sleeping bags and roll mats. Toilets marked male and female are on the ground floor where the bulk of the game will take place. The upper floor is accessible both by ladder and by stairs.
 
We accept our game might not be for everyone - so if you don't like the idea of wearing orange boiler suits and eating MREs only at designated meal times, this is not for you. If you love it, sign up here!

Dune LRP

"The year is 10,192 AG. The restoration of House Harkonnen to the siridar governorship of Arrakis has failed to secure the production of the spice, and the situation worsens. The rebellion risks the entirety of spice production, and must be eradicated.

The Emperor has been commanded to unite the houses of the Landsraad to his cause and to restore order on Arrakis, ending all dispute. 

To this end, a call is to be dispatched to the houses, major and minor, to bring their resources and their ingenuity to bear on this situation. Those who show loyalty shall have their service greatly rewarded. 

Given the stakes the Spacing Guild will host this meeting , and woe befall any who bring animosity and ancient rivalries to their table.

Death Mask Live

'In 2010, a website called Wikileaks released a vast amount of confidential information to the public. Alongside damning evidence of widespread political and financial corruption, the website proved that the World Health Organization (WHO) had known about ND/GME Syndrome since 2004 and had deliberately covered up its true extent. The WHO, faced with overwhelming evidence, confirm this to be true – calling the deception ‘a misguided effort to prevent panic’. Most of their management structure are suspended immediately. The first act of their replacements is to officially declare ND/GME a pandemic.

Almost immediately, France, Britain and a number of others suspended free movement into and within their nations. Such restrictions, ranging from the inconvenient to the draconian swiftly became the norm. Airlines, already hit hard by the recession and the Icelandic eruptions, went bust and the FIFA world cup (due to be held in South Africa) had to be called off. Tensions flared and the violence that had died down returned worse than ever. Full-scale riots broke out wherever there were people to riot. In some nations, the crackdown was swift and bloody. In others, old scores were settled and governments overthrown.'


Death Mask LARP is a live action event set in an apocalyptic near future where victims of a vile mutagen are conscripted to battle the horrific and warped remnants of a near extinct humanity. Infected with the 'ND-GME' neo virus these desperate individuals are granted inhuman strength and resilience by the same force that will eventually twist their bodies and minds until they become one of the nightmarish horrors they fight vainly to stop.

Controlled and supplied by corporate entities vicious and opportunistic enough to survive the fall of man these conscripts must learn quickly to tread the delicate path between these powers where the approval of one might easily bring the ire of another. An individual who finds a place for himself in this corrupt world might ensure their survival.

Forsaken by humanity and forced into the squalid darkness of DUAT the conscripts see the sun only when thrust into the flames of war in a ceaseless battle to maintain crumbling outposts, scavenge supplies and push back the tide.

DML is a combat-optional airsoft larp set in a mutant infested future United Kingdom. It draws on elements of black comedy, horror and post apocalyptic elements from different media.

The Dark Adept is set towards the end of the 18th millennia, and as a player you are a member of an inter-planetary mercenary crew. Your employer, the ship’s captain, Eric, employs you as his initial landing force and sends you to carry out whatever work is required for him to get paid. These tasks take many forms including everything from securing drop sites to performing assassinations. Eric does not care how the job is completed only that it is finished and there are no repercussions onto him or other members of his ship. Eric pays you all with food and board, and provides the facilities for you to learn and practice new skills between missions as well as giving all players access to the extensive armoury.

However, the ever watching eyes of the authorities are constantly scrutinizing what mercenary crews are up to as they are suspected of ever straying from the law. The authorities are keen to punish any wrongdoers, relying on the feared and renowned organization known as the Inquisition to enforce their power. The Inquisition are judge, jury and executioner of any perpetrators and their word and will is law

Wings of Fortune will be set in a world where the timeline started to diverge from ours at roughly around 1917. The year is now 1938 and the geo-political, technological, and sociological setting is markedly different from our own. Due to a number of factors it is the "Golden Age of the Internal Combustion Engine". Technology in this field has far progressed past its real world counterpart, leading to many technological marvels.
The rise of Nazism has not occurred in this timeline, however the forbearing shadow of Imperialism and Nationalism still hangs over certain nations, as restive elements from certain quarters seek to undo the hard won peace earned less than 20 years ago.
Due to the sociological changes from the emergent timeline progress in certain areas has also accelerated. Wings of Fortune is a gender neutral/blind setting, with no differentiation in job roles for men or women.
Several nations still maintain colonial empires, but due recent changes on the national stage, a number have instigated reforms. Including areas of government, health, employment, and education. They hope by doing this to quell some of the more vociferous calls for independence. Therefore while colonialism does exist within the world setting, IC racism implied or covert is not acceptable will be dealt with swiftly by the ref team.
Uniforms and clothing will be period appropriate so anything from late 20's to early 40's is acceptable. Weapons and armour are similar in most cases to contemporary counterparts, with some significant changes in certain areas to represent technological advances. Rules for diesel-powered exosuits, rocketeer style equipment are currently being looked at.
Gunfire will be done using a call based system similar to Death Unto Darkness/Animatium with a few tweaks. Melee combat will be with setting appropriate weapons (Ceremonial Swords, Fire Axes, Tools etc).
The system will be balanced so there will be plenty for "non combat" characters to do. The complicated geo-political setting mean information is a valuable currency like money or gold. Intrigue, politicking, and espionage will play roles within the system. From spoilt aristocrat to ideologically motivated sabateur.
The game will be 18+ and will deal with adult themes.

Taking inspiration from a Midsummer Night’s Dream and taking some liberties with history Twilight Theatre is a seasonal Performance based larp game set in modern day London. It focuses on the political plight of the Fae Courts ignored for millennia as they try to inspire their capital city into greatness again having just awoken their Queen and King. Characters in the Twilight Theatre All Fae want to influence the world, it is there nature and their reason for being. Be it for whatever reason weather for good, bad or chaos it makes no difference, all must make their mark on behalf of their household. With the King and Queen stepping out of life for such a long time, London is in a state of flux. There is nobody “in charge” and the Royal Servants have become very nervous of what will happen if the mortal world is allowed to influence itself. During each season – winter, spring, summer and autumn player houses (Court) will have the opportunity to assemble for an evening on stage to perform short pieces of artist works including plays, dance, singing, instrumentals, story-telling, readings and speeches.

The Quota

The Quota is a live roleplay experience designed to explore some of the pressures and crisis-points experienced by refugees and migrants trapped in the limbo of an immigration detention centre. You will play an individual struggling with the loss of their autonomy within a system, in which many have been trapped for years, unable to move forwards with your life or make significant choices about your future and the futures of any loved ones you have responsibility for.
The fiction behind the roleplay will be a near-future scenario in which Great Britain has divided into separate states and England is on the verge of economic collapse, triggered by failed economic separatism and severe droughts. You will play English refugees and economic migrants hoping to be granted a right of entry in Gweriniaeth Pobl Cymru (The People’s Republic of Wales). Play will take place in a ‘temporary’ (it has been temporary for the last six years) detention centre on the English-Welsh border.

Key themes that will be played upon include: 
* State/institutional control of your daily life, when you eat, what activities you have access to, what your future will be.
* The sense of uncertainty, as you strive to meet a set of arbitrary criteria that might or might not secure your release from the detention centre
* Anxiety about individual identity, as your previous markers of identity (language, status, profession, etc.) are all potentially rendered redundant
* The absence of a duty of care on the part of the state towards the stateless, i.e. inadequate access medical, educational and other support facilities
* Lack of personal safety: in both your interactions with the center’s security personnel, who are there to control you, and potential violence within the population of the detention centre, when security personnel are not present.

Why would you play The Quota?
The Quota aims to be a powerful and transformative experience. You will be emotionally and psychologically challenged in a carefully designed environment, where player safety will be maintained even while characters are put under pressure. The intensity of the role-play will provide you with insights into the experiences outlined above.
You will gain knowledge about yourself and about what is important to you. You will deepen your understanding of the ties that bind people together and their ability to withstand the forces of dehumanisation and alienation and, above all, the costs to everyone when these bond break.

Oneiropelago - A Shard of Tomorrow

The Light Is Dying.

The year is 1951. The Dream is in ruins, dying. The Phoenix's gift has left the world irrevocably changed. All Coteries lie in ruins. The Winged huddle together in their own makeshift families fighting for dominance over scarce resources, their Patrons dormant, missing, or dead. Anarchic Red-Bloods from the Barrier Crimson aid or attack, motivated only by chaotic reactions over Winged selfishness and cruelty. The Piscine conjure​ abyssal monsters to aid violent darkness-shrouded raids, and Empire of Dust traders bring expensive, vital resources in exchange for Stories.

What is left of the Dream is a cluster of disparate landscapes, a shoal of islands connected only by roads and bridges made of testing trials and concepts that need to be wrestled with. Each of these realms is dominated by a concept, a piece of the Moonchild left for their children to understand. Each is a step to understanding why the Dream is the way it is, a broken nightmare spiralling into a colourful abyss.
Many Winged & Dreamers in each Realm are completely unobservant of the realms beyond, living in their own... Dream world.

The Winged snatch at the power they once had. Many rule their Realms with power and authority passed down before the Parliament closed. Some live in symbiosis with the Dreamers that feed them; others continue to dominate and control, succouring off their complacent livestock with a claw of iron.

The Parliament still stands, but changed. A twisted tower of leather and metal, corridors jutting off in many directions, voices and grinding sighs heard so far away, echoing subtly and endlessly. With the landscape outside dying and uninhabitable, many Winged and others seek help inside the monstrous Parliament, confined to its winding corridors as it travels the roads of the Dream. Only the Winged still call it the Parliament - others simply call it the Shard; a remainder of a forgotten past. Strangely, any can access the Shard from any Realm, but the Shard only has access to certain Realms; it obeys it's own rules. 

Many strange devices and mechanisms are found within the Shard, with those scrabbling Winged fighting each other for control of these unknowable devices. 
One such device is The Lacuna, a monstrous rattling lock-covered door. Through The Entrance come Sleepers, Dreamers who can never leave. No-one knows exactly why, but it is suspected every Sleeper is trapped by their own guilt, fears, or traumatic events they are escaping from. All that is known is that a Sleeper’s presence brings with them resources. The most common are Emotions, which grant knowledge and access to the Shard's many locked rooms. Memories are bigger and far more juicy, providing personal power to it’s wielder. However, the most potent are Hopes - each is personally connected to a Sleeper, granting them their true potential if they retrieve it…

But the Sleepers are trapped. Something has called them to the Shard, and the only way out is The Grand Lacuna. To escape The Lacuna, the Sleeper will need to pay the toll - an amount of Keys, and expensive Hopes and Memories. If a Sleeper escapes, they never come back - but their presence is often felt by the other Sleepers, helping them on their way to escape. Unfortunately, the toll is never cheap… and every escape raises the price. 

Amongst the Sleepers and Winged are Sources, godlike fonts of power who exchange respect for power while following their own sets of bizarre rules.
Of note is the Shard's caretaker, Entropy, who removes light from the world because It Has To Be Done. He aids the Shard, and the Sleepers there, but He Must rob the Dream of its beauty, one Realm at a time...

And hiding amongst all are Figments, creatures born of imagination determined to steal a Sleeper's place in the world with subterfuge and brute force.

So the Sleepers wish to leave, aided by the services of the Red-Blooded. The selfish Winged want control. Figments and Myths wish to replace the Sleepers in Reality, and the Sources want to gain power and change the world. The Dreamers are free, blind, and trapped in cycles.

Have you ever wondered where missing things go? Socks, the remote control, that pair of glasses you only just put down? And what about those missing people that have never been found? It's as if they have just disappeared, vanished into nothing! 

What if there is a place all these missing things, people, ideas and memories go? Lost never to be found. What if they are nowhere? 

Lost in a world of Nowhere, Your character will arrive with nothing but their name and what few possessions they have on them to tell them who they are? All you really know is you were looking for something before you ended up lost.
Your goal? To find your way out!

Lost and Found is a free form game of mind games, puzzles, linears and quests revolving around character's personal plot. We are aiming at including elements of horror, mystery, adventure, scify and action. The game will be heavily influenced by character backgrounds and so the aesthetics will revolve around player's decisions as much as it will plot.

When The Wall Breaks

When the shieldwall breaks, the killing starts, men die in their hundreds as their shield brothers scatter like leaves on an autumn wind. But not all encounter death at this moment, those true warriors, the ones the bards tell tales of, the ones whose arms are adorned with arm rings, the men who revel in war and battle and the killing. When the wall breaks, it is they who can turn the tide, so practiced in their sword craft that entire ships crews have fallen by their sword in a single battle.

Songs are sung still of those whose deeds were such that they carved out their name, men like the infamous brothers who raided up and down the Mercian coast- Vidarr and Vidkunn, a mutiny brought by a witch of the sea, a sign that even the gods recognised their menace to the world.

Ulf Ulfmadsson, who alone charged a shield wall of Saxons to scatter and kill so that his kin could live. His body was found surrounded by saxon dead, his pyre burnt high a sure sign Odin was watching.

Bjornn Ulfmadsson, the bear, fearsome in battle, famously rescusing his entire ships crew when they were captured in a saxon trap.

Ragnar Ragnarsson, killed by a betrayer, but even aflame snuffed out the light from those who would seek to bring dishonour on his name.

Erik Ragnarsson, feared by all when he had his dane axe in hand, it is said in songs that even the paths he walked feared him such was his battle fury.

All great danes and men of the North, all dead, taken to Valhalla to drink and fight once more. All accomplished greatness, all with names shouted by their friends, and feared by their enemies. But all dead long before their time. For it is the way for those who when the wall breaks, will step forward to fill it. Weaker men will run, flee, or find sanctuary in a wall still intact. But a rare few will stand and fight and perhaps die to ensure their names ring out across the lands.

It is to men like this that the call is made, a call that must be answered, King Hrothgar of the far North is under siege, by mist and with it an evil that cannot be spoken. 

Only those who can stand when the wall breaks need answer the call, men and women whose names are destined to be etched into time itself.

Those who bid to join their ancestors in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever.

Nothing To See Here, a LARP event by Skeleton Key Productions, centring on the domestic staff of a nineteenth century country house.

You are the domestic staff of a 19th century country house, which is *definitely not haunted*, and where *nothing improper is happening at all*.
While trying to conceal the existence of the household ghost and managing your own messy personal life, you will be run ragged by your employers, who make preposterous requests, ask you to achieve the impossible, and generally seem to go to great lengths to make your lives as difficult as they can. And the less said about… *whatever* has taken up residence in the pantry, the better. Old Wilkin’s being grumbly about the cellar again… what *is* he employed for, anyhow?

If you don’t want dismissal without a reference, the most important thing of all is ensuring that your betters *never know* what’s going on behind the scenes… and that you don’t get caught by the Butler or the Housekeeper if you have to break the rules to do it. Get dragged into your master’s torrid affair; rifle through a guest’s bags in search of blackmail material; try to conceal your mistress's drinking habits; and avoid the sack by blaming someone else for the *incident* in the boot room.

​“Nothing to See Here” is an Upstairs/Downstairs style game, where Upstairs are all NPCs, with their own ridiculous crises and outrageous dramas, while their servants work inventively to stop everything from exploding. The perfect servant can sweep anything under the carpet and prevent anything from troubling their masters' serenity… Then again, no one has ever had to deal with a problem like *this* before…

But everything is fine. Strange happenings, sir? Ha-ha sir, very droll sir. There is nothing to see here, sir. Nothing at all.

Herofest Steampunk

Our events are set in the Victorian era and set on the planet Mars. We draw on real history however the difference in our LARP game is that two wondrous inventions (Aura and Aether) have led to the manifestation of Steampunk. This has included great Aether ships which have been able to follow newly discovered routes beyond Earth’s atmosphere to Mars.

Groups of brave explorers soon sought to lay claim to whatever could be found there in the name of their empires. Here they found Martians, creatures seemingly from earth legend, and perhaps more importantly to them the discovery of rare and exotic minerals. It was not long before Mars was struck by a wave of mining corporations, prospectors, scientists and adventurers.

Three years after this colonisation began disaster strikes as an enormous solar flare causes the malfunction and destruction of many Aether devices including all ships and communications.

Our events follow the trials and tribulations of the survivors now trapped on Mars as they try to adapt to their new home, each nation attempting to carve a place for themselves in this brave new world

Players take on the role of a 19th Century nation's government, an inventor-explorer or an intrepid member of the press as they deal with strange events and each other in an alternative history 1860s. Technological progress, cultural achievements or even war against your fellow players are all tools at your disposal to achieve your objectives in a world creeping toward a sinister future!

There are ten nations teams available (each of four players), two press positions and five inventor-explorers. The nation teams are made up of a head of state, minister of war, finance minister and a foreign minister who have their own roles and abilities with which to help their team; inventor-explorers can go on expeditions to uncover forbidden knowledge, or create strange new devices in their labs; meanwhile the press stand for truth and knowledge in dark times.

Duke Stephen of Wessex has gone missing, his exiled half-brother Edmund has returned at the head of an army, composed largely of Burgundian mercenaries, and seized Winchester, claiming the Dukedom for himself. Edmund’s veteran Burgundians have, so far, swept aside any resistance loyal to Duke Stephen. Ill equipped to resist, many of the burghers and lords of Wessex have capitulated and sworn fealty to Edmund. To the west Lady Ann of Wessex, Duke Stephen’s wife is in a perilous position, residing at Glastonbury with her young son Arthur: Duke Stephen’s heir. Edmund has already sent messengers requiring Lady Anne to attend him at Winchester, together with her household, fearing for her life, and lacking military strength or support, Lady Anne has fled with a few loyal retainers and taken refuge in the hidden places of the countryside. Though she has been abandoned by many supporters, she is not without resources or powerful friends. There are many who would prefer a duchess, or a regent for the young Duke, than an ambitious militaristic Duke Edmund.

To save her land and the lives of her family, and loyal subjects, she has decided to fight if she can. To this end she has engaged the services of an exiled soldier of fortune Captain Walter Savage who has sent forth a call to arms and undertaken to train such soldiers who will come to resist Edmund's elite Burgundians. Loyal Yeomen of Wessex who know the secret ways of the country; wild gallowglass clansmen from Ireland; soldiers of fortune; erstwhile allies of Duke Stephen’s Wessex – who knows who will answer the call? All that is certain is that Lady Anne’s rag-tag little force is determined to resist Duke Edmund and defy him with every means at their disposal.

The game is based around the formation of a mercenary company and the training and organisation needed to make it effective in battle. You can play brigands, mercenaries, adventurers from afar, Lady Anne's own soldiers and entourage, craftspeople, artists, merchants or members of a splintered clergy

Their first event at the start of 2015, called "God Rest Ye Merry", was a ghost story set at Christmas 1954 about an extended family returning to their ancestral home for the first time in years.

They hired a sprawling, creaky old mansion on Exmoor and filled it with props, documents and special effects. Then they led their players into their world. They stayed there for 48 hours without a break, subjected to psychological trickery, computer game technology, video, audio, smells and stunts to put them through the wringer

Lifeblood LARP

On the continent of Tarsus lies the Kingdom of Rayern, a land of high magic. At the castle of Caer Aewyn ambassadors from the Deep Court of the Mer hold conference with Dragons, Shapeshifters hunt in the woods, while magicians travel far into the mountains to seek the wisdom of the Unicorns and the Oracle.

The king or queen is bound to the land through blood and power alike. It is their duty to maintain the balance between the races, and for hundreds of years the Carwyn dynasty has served their people faithfully. 

The coronation of a new King was greeted with joy. It was hoped that a renewal of the royal bond would bring fresh life to the land and end the famine that grips central Reyern. His reign would have seen a new flourishing of magic. The magicians are growing more numerous and the system of apprenticeships has become unsustainable, stagnant and oppressive. A group of ambitious mages had proposed a new, more open system, one endorsed by the young King.

But the last of the Carwyn royals is dead, murdered at his own coronation by unknown rebels. With no clear heir, the priestesses who guard the crown are in hiding. Worse still, travellers from the southeast bring rumours of the dead crawling back from their graves.

In the face of impending doom, the Oracle has called a conference of the great and good of Reyern. Something must be done to prevent the country descending into chaos.

OC Information 

The event will take place in early spring 2018. Location is likely to be central England, depending on what we can find. The event will be primarily indoors and fully catered. We aim to keep prices lower than £50 a night.

Current plans are for a Friday night time in with time out on Sunday afternoon. We hope to allow people to stay overnight on Sunday to make travel easier and give the crew extra time to pack up.

This event will include opportunities for combat. These are optional and we welcome non-combatants with open arms. The event will be as accessible as we can make it. If you let us know your needs early on, we will take them into account when looking for venues.

Characters can be human, any of the magical races or a human-creature hybrid. Magicians are encouraged.

Dark Awakenings

Dark Awakenings is a High Fantasy LARP set some time in the not too distant future. It has taken influence from Changeling – The Lost by White Wolf Publications, and is a story about the struggle for survival in a world where faerie tales, dreams and nightmares are a horrid reality.

The Fae were powerful creatures that often bargained, toyed and played with mortals for amusement, entertainment, or for sheer cruelty over the centuries. One ill fated bargain or cruel trick went too far or backfired. Sometime in the early 21st century; the Fae unleashed a wave of energy that swept the globe and condemned humanity to slumber. Every man, woman and child became trapped in a phenomenon known as the “Dreamscape,” unknowingly forced to re-live specific moments of their life over and over for eternity.

By accident or design, there were some who the Dreamscape just couldn't shackle forever. Be it through strength, cunning or sheer luck, they managed to break the Dreamscape's chains and in these moments of lucidity, they stared into the very heart of the Dreamscape. But the Dreamscape stared back, seeing them for what they truly were, and it their last moments there it cursed them for it. They awakened, twisted by the Fae magic, to be no longer fully human. They are the Changelings and this was their Dark Awakening.

Technology in some form does still exist, but the knowledge has long since been forgotten, a side effect of the awakening. As a result, the Changeling world is a throwback to the human Dark Ages, where simple and maintainable technology is the key to survival. But in humanity's absence, or perhaps by the presence of the Dreamscape, the Changeling world is a malleable reality and there are equally impressive powers as technology.

The Fae, and a multitude of other creatures still lurk in the shadows, vying for power and influence over the new Changeling race. You, as a recently awakened Changeling, must fight to keep these powers at bay and for the survival of your people

Wierd West

The nightmare that we call the Weird West started at the battle of Gettysburg back in 1863.

Those in the know reckon that all that death and killing broke the door that leads into the next life and that things that shouldn‟t have been able to, crawled their way back up to our world from Purgatory. In the early hours of the battles third day, the dead got back up and carried on fighting. Spirits and Spectres haunted the field and things from people‟s worst nightmares stalked the shadows. People said that the South lost the war that day but the truth is we all lost.

The Horrors that spewed forth in 63‟ spread and multiplied until it seemed that everywhere they went the West twisted into a land ruled by fear. It is thought the more scared the people in an area are, the more the Horrors come. Both the Union and the Confederacy saw the danger that these Horrors represented, they also saw how laughably out gunned they were against them, so they each turned to new solutions in order to fight. In the Union, President Lincoln authorised the creation of the Academy of Science and Technology who developed entirely new weapons of war called Steamtech. These pioneering lunatics created many devices to destroy the horrors and any anyone else that got in line of fire.

In the Confederacy General Lee forged the Hermetic Order of the South who drew together every scrap of occult lore they could find in order to bring the power of magic to bear against the horrors. The powers that they have learned to call upon are strong but fickle in nature and are not always at the beck and call of its users.
The terrible losses taken at Gettysburg spelled the beginning of the end for the Confederacy and on April the ninth 1865 General Lee surrendered. Shortly after, President Lincoln created a department purely for helping licensed individuals track down and destroy these monsters in the newly formed United States of America; this department has no official name but has been dubbed as The Network.

Some claim that it was formed because the religious types visions showing them that until the things unleashed were put back in their prison the doors to Heaven were closed. Others maintained that in order to make a strong Union the mistakes of the past had to be put right. This lead to a new rush into the West, hardened bounty hunters, adventurers, lore seekers and zealots all simply referred to as Hunters made their way in to the twisted lands to do battle with the monsters lurking in the shadows. The year is now 1870 and the battle for the West is well and truly on.

Cleansing Flame is a high risk, high lethality survival horror game, drawing on themes of faith, sacrifice and selfishness. Characters will be generated by the refs, using player specifications. The game will have a 24 hour time in, from approximately 22:00 Friday night until 01:00 on Sunday. The event will be fully catered. There will be a heavy emphasis on PvP and combat, however there will be low/non-combat roles available. Sleeping may be indoors in bunks or camping on site. There will be both IC and OC sleeping arrangments

An upcoming post-industrail-revolution-apocalyptic, low-fantasy, high-casualty LARP, about rebuilding human civilization after it's fal.

Pride, was humanity’s downfall. To fight a war on four fronts, against enemies who were revealed to be far stronger than they had imagined, and had no qualms in working together against a common foe. The war was brutal and short, and the human lands were shattered.
Villages were razed, towns pulled down and entire cities of people captured as slaves. For the offence of raising a hand against its neighbours, humanity was driven into servitude - claimed as property by the old races. The free humans who survived went into hiding, tiny isolated villages that survived by being lost and forgotten, or ensuring they never appeared strong enough to be worth the cost of being captured.

For two hundred years, humanity has been enslaved by it’s neighbours. In the Coblynau mines, children have been born, grown old, and died, without ever seeing the light of day, in the Fae castles, families have been rebuilt and shaped by their Fae masters, in complicated vanity breeding programmes. In the Capra herds, men and women have grown aggressive and feral, fighting to hold their own against brutal masters, and in the Mer plantations, communities have formed over servitude and sacrifice to the creatures that watch them from the Sea.

Humanity is broken, shattered and repressed. The wild itself reclaims the ruins of their cities, and the times of freedom are becoming little more than myth and legend.

But times are changing, Necromancers are building armies that are capable of holding back raids against their villages, Scavengers are finding and stockpiling ancient technology, and rumours abound of a Golden Woman, who has appeared to lead humanity back into Glory.

Triad LARP

Triad is set in the eastern limits, a collection of small states nominally part of the human Calian Empire. The empire at large is currently riven by civil war meaning the Limits, already separated from the empire by a range of mountains, are currently very isolated from outside support.

Until less than 100 years ago the area of the eastern limits was ruled at a light touch by wood elves, and they still inhabit the regions wooded glades and valleys. Along the long southern and eastern shores of the Limits the sea elves are frequent visitors as traders and raiders, from the their island homes in the north of the eastern ocean. The Sulentine Mountains that split the Limits from the empire at large are home to many great Dwarven cities, and dwarven travelers are a common site throughout the Limits. North of the Limits, where the forests thicken and darken, orcs are common. Bands of them can and do travel south through the limits looking for work or glory.

Triad follows three parties in a fantasy world of adventure, each team going on one adventure a month. Players play their characters for one adventure, then ref or crew for the other two. Games will run 3 times a month on Thursday evenings from around 7 until 10 on or around the Sussex university campus.

A social-heavy game, SAB focusses on Families of Demons in Hell's city of Dis, contesting over resources, respect and political sway in a kingdom without a king. Demons duel each other over disagreements, marry to strengthen political bonds, carry out elaborate rituals to empower each other, and dabble in Enochian to summon the aid of Elder Demons... All in the wake of news concerning the possible disappearance of The Prince Infernal, Lucifer.

Each ruling family reflects the Sin they are built upon:
- The wrathful Writhespit enforce their self-decided law through gang violence and volume. Built on strict hierarchy, the children of Wrath make excellent duellists and enforcers.

- Envious Fallowglass straddle the responsibilities of banker and thief, stealing back what they loan. Of deep pockets and covetous eyes, the children of Envy conduct business with one hand and a network of crime with the other.

- Slow and observant Sweltergloam seek to improve the world one construct of leather and metal at a time. Slothful only for tomorrow, the busy masters of rebuilt-flesh create hordes of familiars and warmachines to speed up their automation of Hell.

- Unmatched in power or paranoia, the masonic libraries and schools of Knotfist hold all of Dis' sought after knowledge and Enochian might. Unrivalled ritualists and summoners, the children of Avarice fear only that another's cravings for power might consume their own.

- Gregarious and insatiable, the bombastic Ripgristle are Dis' greatest hosts, entertainers, providers of manual labour, food and human resources. Beings of insatiable Gluttony, rich and indulgent, they outdo all other families with the zeal of their work.

- The tactile Shuddergasp combine respect for the carnal with adoration of the visceral, seeing the physical vessel as something to be worshipped. Turning Lust into a cult of adoration, Shuddergasp control Dis' practitioners of medicine and physical completion.

- Tied directly to the Prince Infernal himself, Gloatstar's unwavering nobility has strong links to Dis' great Legions, its noble armies and its greatest officers and heroes. Creatures of Pride, they command loyal soldiers, and are vainglorious with a perfect blade.

A major theme of soirees is ballgowning, conversation and indulging in social interaction. Combat is limited to duelling, unlikely skirmishes and dramatic storytelling, used to represent protecting the city from monstrous colossal Nephilim. The focus of roleplay here is strongly on the social, not the purely physical.

Flavour wise, the game is heavily inspired by Dune and Gormenghast, with individual elements of the setting homaging Attack on Titan, The Warriors, Clockwork Orange, the films of Derek Jarman and Peter Greenaway, CS Lewis, Time Bandits and Discworld. While of course the game touches base with Christian themes, it draws much bigger influences from apocryphal mythology, Milton's Paradise Lost, the Ars Goetia and Key of Solomon.

MCM Is a Sci-Fi Larp loosly based around the world of Mutant Chronicles. 
The world is based around the survival of Mars and the people who live, work, fight and die there.  MCM is a hero based system allowing players to build characters who are above average. The system has been designed to allow players to have fun and not worry about the realities of the real world (please remember this is a game not real life you may get shot several times and still survive after all you are one of the heroes), please have fun and enjoy the game and remember to take your hits. Stargate: The System Lords

Stargate: The System Lords is a live-action roleplaying (LRP) game set in the Stargate universe. Players play Goa'uld System Lords - megalomaniacal aliens posing as the gods of ancient Earth - as well as their genetically-engineered Jaffa servants, and disposable human slaves. All are vying for control of the galaxy and personal power, while seeking to forge alliances, manipulate and plot against rivals, and face common foes.

The High Council of the System Lords has been called to address three growing threats to Goa'uld dominance of the galaxy - Tok'ra traitors seeking to undermine and sabotage the Goa'uld; the Tau'ri of ancient Earth proving to be a more dangerous and stubborn enemy than anyone predicted; and finally, whispers and rumours of rebellion within the Jaffa ranks. All who can claim the rank of System Lord have been invited to attend Council, where hopefully some semblance of accord might be found amongst the fractious gods.

PASH (Post Apoc Survival Horror)

PASH is a Post Apocalyptic LARP, set in the fallout of a Nuclear war between America and Russia. These once two proud nations are now smoking ruins and the rest of the world now suffer. At the height of war, and in retaliation to the attacks from America, Russia released an experimental Nano-plague that acted as an improved EMP burst, destroying all forms of modern electrical based technology. Unfortunately this was not enough to stop the Nuclear Missiles that had been launched at each Superpower. And the Now.

The game is set in Tenton, a Tent Town based in rural England. The town is run (unofficially) by The Family and (officially) by a Council made up of prominent members of the the townspeople. As a Player, you will belong to one of the four main Gangs, an independent Gang or one of the Townspeople. Recently the majority of the Town Council were found murdered by a group known as the Exiles, their dismembered bodies left hanging in the trees

OSLARP presents Post Apocalyptic Survival Horror (PASH) LARP. The game is 24 Hours (12pm to 12pm), and is fully immersive, and Player and Plot driven. The game will be running three tier Missions in which there will be three groups doing each mission, each with their own goals. How they interact with the NPCs will determine the success and failure of their Group and potentially other Groups.

The game costs £50 to play but we wanted to make the game more attractable to new Players who may have been put off by initial costs so we are offering up to £30 of discounts. The game also uses traditional LARP weapons and Nerf Guns which we will provide if you don't have any.

The game is set in 2025, so old modern clothes will work as costume (some of the Gangs in the game have specific styles of clothing).

Gretchen scientists made a colossal breakthrough in Hive Town, a monstrous city that towers over the weakened and arguably dying human empire. Through the work of some of the most mad and brilliant mechanics the Gretchens have successfully managed to activate one of the several gates intertwined with the Acacianic doctrine of the prophet, the sole recognised faith within the empire.

In keeping with the Gretchen methodological approach known as you go first the Gretchen high command has opened up their first expedition to unknown parts to many of their allies, such as the imperial forces and the guilds, as well as other interested parties such as the Cetus duchies and the East Provinces Company. Under considerable pressure and despite their misgivings expeditionary interests from the Acacianic Church as well as the Brankovici orthodox faith have also been accepted.

What has been discovered on the other side of the looking glass was not as expected.

New Reality

New Reality is a live action role play game. Players come to a session, be given a brief description of the location they're in and are given a character to play. From that point on it's all up to players how the story works out. 
I started it while at University and now I'm hoping to develop it further and on a regualar basis.

The aim is to give the players a realistic experience so pretty much anything goes and anything can happen. Very little is given away about the the game itself before a session but there will be little hints given so watch out for those.

Armistice

Armistice is an independent urban fantasy LARP, set in present day London.  Drawing inspiration from authors such as Neil Gaiman, Kate Griffin, China Mieville, Ben Aaronovitch and Mike Carey, among others, the setting is a world much like our own, but where supernatural elements lurk out of sight in the shadows.
In Armistice, players can take on the role of almost any kind of supernatural being they can imagine, from urban sorcerers to ancient dragons, from fae creatures to cursed immortals.  These characters are soldiers in a war that has raged from the dawn of time to the present day, a war to decide the ultimate fate of magic in the universe, and the destiny of humanity.
Except in London, thanks to a magical cataclysm that has stripped away much of the power these people once possessed, that war has been paused.  A cease-fire has been declared, and the various sides in this conflict must now find a way to live with each other, and the things they have done, at least for the foreseeable future.
Armistice is a game about war veterans and war criminals in the aftermath of a war.  It is a game that tries to pick up where other stories leave off, and seeks to explore the traumatic effects of war, and look at what forgiveness might mean in the aftermath of conflict, and if forgiveness is even always possible, or if conflicts never truly end.
Armistice begins on the 10th of January 2015 at 1:30pm, in a central London venue.  It will be played monthly, on the second Saturday of each month.

StarBorn LARP

Before the Burn there was StarBorn: a corporation spanning many worlds, leading the way in innovation and colonisation. In this imagining of life in the far future it is sometimes impossible to tell who is more powerful – corporations or governments.

StarBorn is a world of environmental storytelling, of mystery, of horror, of the fear of the unknown, a live action role playing experience like no other, where the world around you tells the story and it is your job to unravel the secrets shrouding New Horizon, the colonial base on which StarBorn is set.

One of the main aims is to create a believable experience for people booking onto StarBorn, and as such we have an open line of dialogue with a doctor of astrophysics European Space Agency. We subscribe to the philosophy that 'what you see is what you get', so StarBorn aims to be a completely interactive experience, using the latest technology to enhance your immersion.

StarBorn will be closer to a simulation than a game, and as such will take place largely within a closed environment. There will be opportunities for exploration outside of the New Horizon base, though these will be subject to the environment; after all, if it starts raining acid it probably isn't the best idea to wonder about outside – a breach in your suit will put your life on the line.

We are still in the early development stage of StarBorn, and as we work out the metaphysics of the game some things may be subject to change. The game is due to launch for event 1 in 2015

The Quatermass Legacy

21st century… the near future. The Great Urban Decay of the late 1970s (Quatermass Conclusion) seems a distant memory and if you are under 40 you really have little idea what all the fuss was about. Those who did live through it have tried their best to move on, forget and raise families to make up for the almost complete loss of an entire generation. Small groups of Planet People can still be seen wandering the countryside and there is still the occasional news report of Marauder raids in the north. Very few alive today actually remember Bernard Quatermass but the name holds a certain power. Some go misty eyed when it is spoken aloud others show a certain disquiet. No one however speaks of the ‘The Bomb’ any more.

Today the recession of the early 21st century looks to be almost over and Britain is full of hope and American TV & fast food. Forties & Fifties Fever has taken over the fashion world and gripped popular culture. Spawned in part by a youth style that harked back to James Dean, Marlon Brando, Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor, it was partially a reaction to attempts by some designers to revisit the late 60s and early 70s. Many said that these young designers wanted society to face the past but the result was that it was buried even further.

The UK economy improving faster than most and the government has looked towards technology to keep Britain Great. Millions have been ploughed into developing new industries with aerospace receiving a huge boost. Now the government is looking to the stars and is gambling that the British Rocket Group can once again stun the world. The Quatermass team of the 1950s may have been disqualified from the Space Race and ignored by the Americans and Russians but British satellites can’t be ignored even if launched on European rockets.

The hype may be growing but as yet there has been little information about exactly what it is the BRG are planning…. That is until now.

S.P.A.C.E. 2.0

S.P.A.C.E. is set in the fictional future of the planet Earth and is based around the aesthetics of science fiction of the 1920’s-40's era, which had much to do with robots, ray guns and rockets. It does however encompass much of the sci fi genre in terms of feeling and content and parallels can be drawn between this and many science fiction books and program's both old and new.

Through a series of events mankind has discovered human races on Mars (Martians) and Venus (Venetians) and a union between the three planets has been made (the Trinary union). The union have also claimed the planet mercury as their building yard, so excepting earth's moon which has been claimed by a race calling themselves 'moon men' the space in between the sun and the asteroid belt found after the planet mars belongs to the S.P.A.C.E. Trinary Union.

There are many new and unknown threats in the big wide universe and it is the job of the S.P.A.C.E. Patrol (and subsequently you as a member of this) to explore the universe, make discoveries and report back to HQ. 

As the S.P.A.C.E. Patrol originated from planet earth the majority of its members are from earth, although in recent years the recruited numbers from Mars and Venus have increased majoring the patrol a truly multi-cultural entity in the galactic sense.

Hive

Hive is a faction-led Live Action Role Play based in a Post-cataclysm Colony on a far-away planet. It is a desolate place where loyalties, skills and firepower are put to the test.

Hundreds of years after a great catastrophe struck the colony, the remaining coherent factions of “The Hive” re-emerged and have been fighting against the odds to survive and expand.

We specialise in running live role-playing scenarios which usually have a modern day horror theme. Events take place throughout the year at atmospheric locations around the UK (England & Wales), where experienced FOTD staff use professional makeup, costume and effects to create the ultimate in escapist entertainment.
From the moment you step into a FOTD scenario, nothing will be quite what it seems and you will find yourself completely immersed in the strange events which unfold around you.
FOTD Horror games take their inspiration from horror literature, movies, PC games etc. in which generally normal people fight against malevolent supernatural entities. Such games often are structured as a straightforward mystery or “monster hunt” which also involves a great deal of investigation and clue-finding.

Animatium LRP

It is 1802, in Britain the nobility hold the majority of power but the landed gentry and the newly rich are gaining in power and influence.

Social standing (status) is seen as key; it determines political power, influence over society and which parties one gets invited to. Politeness and manners are a key part of that social hierarchy, knowing ones social betters and how to treat them is vital. Despite worries about encroachment by European neighbours all seems to be well in Britain, at least on the surface.

The discovery of Animatium almost 100 years ago has sent the world down a path it may not otherwise have travelled. The world is still discovering new uses for Animatium, its uses seem almost limitless, it potential incredible. Whoever controls the most Animatium, whoever discovers its uses first, they must surely be in a position to end war and suffering for all time. It is a great time to be alive, a great time to be British.

But beneath the surface something stirs, rumours suggest that a strange sickness has appeared in the land striking down rich and poor, noble and common, alike.

Wildlands LARP

Wildlands LARP is a small Live Action Role Play group based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. We run single day events once a month from March through to October as well as themed tavern nights as and when the need requires it.

"For thousands of years, there was one race on the Earth – humanity. They dominated the globe, and nowhere moreso than the continent of Corvantin, heartland of civilisation and cradle of mankind. Guided by the Five Gods of Enlightenment, humanity raised its hands to the heavens in search of glory and peace. Although the dread Goddess Thalae – Patron of Despair and Decay – gnawed at the roots of prosperity and incited brother to strike brother in armed conflict the majority of people lived quiet and peaceful lives. Science and the arts were well supported, and the world began to enter a golden age of civilisation – a Renaissance of learning and culture.

Each person was defined by one of the Six Elements which make up all things – Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Wood and Shadow. The opposition between the Elements drove the great Cycle of Life, and ensured that all were equal. A person’s Element defined them, inspired them, and guided their role in society. Even those touched by Shadow – distrusted and feared though they may be – still filled vital roles in society.

Then, from nowhere, The Shifting came. Taking the form of a dense fog, it rolled in from the coast and began swallowing up the land. All those it touched, changed. The Elements revolted within those affected, twisting their forms and Shifting them into new races, new beings. The land itself became to mutate and warp, and as The Shifting rolled ever further inland, devouring fiefdom after fiefdom, so the terrified mass of humanity swarmed further in to the centre of Corvantin, abandoning their homes and family in desperate flight

You play a member of the vaunted Order of the Gryphon. A former mercenary company, the Order of the Gryphon was fully ratified during the reign of Queen Elissa – the successor to Corbrey the Uniter – and has become a force to be reckoned with. No longer merely sell-swords, the Order of the Gryphon are the Crown’s elite special forces – a collection of rogues of disparate skills, experiences and motivations united to handle those tasks too dangerous for the average militia, too sensitive for a bumbling noble, too vital to risk to anyone else.

Mythlore: New Lands

The Perasian civil war has drawn on for many months, emptying the coffers and military strength of the nations dragged into the conflict. The Scholar-King reigns over Keshmir from Balsora, the only city managing to thrive during the conflict, serving as it does as the entranceway for the only trade from the sea. Balsora souq has managed to maintain a veneer of deals being made between merchants, mercenaries, satraps and thieves. Coin flows freely and favours are called in, but Balsora has become a hotbed of rivalries and grudges that seethe beneath the surface, threatening to bubble over and the tension may break before the war is concluded. The true enemy gathers in the wings, however, like a distant storm. Only YOUR choices will keep Balsora safe, or damn all of the Persyrian Lands to a new dark age of war.

Lineage

Far from complex civilisation and large cities a person’s worth is what they can do. Not who they were born to.
Having said that there is the “Prince” and he currently holds the power and the start point is his settlement and many things you might want are in his gift.
The New World needs a good mix of all types if it is to be successful as a colony. How quickly would a colony of soldiers and nobles succumb to starvation or disease without the help of a few agronomists or apothecaries? Who will build the homes and other structures a new society needs?
You may climb or descend the social ladder but can still become rich and powerful which ever direction you go. Most skills already possessed move with you.
People in high places are often there by virtue of deeds done and with the support of those in the lowest. High Status prevents an individual from overtly taking certain actions. When faced with such a need a noble or respectable commoner needs a friend who is not restricted by such constraints of polite society. That kind of friend costs.

Falling Down

A dark fantasy LRP game of spirituality, intrigue and horror based on the Tribe 8 RPG. It's set in the ruins of our own world, after humanity was enslaved by spiritual monsters called Z'bri. Two generations ago, some of humanity were able to free themselves from oppression by these monsters, under the auspices of the Fatimas of the Tribes.

You play outcasts from these Tribes, liberated but not yet truly free. It'll be weekend-long player-led, plot-driven PvPvE action with simple rules, weird magic and a really cool setting.

London Under : Look Down

This is London Under. A world of forgotten history, where myth is real and science is magic. Where words are power and you should mind the Gap. Where politics is feudal and cut-throat, in the most literal sense. Where nothing is rubbish and rubbish is everything. This is a city of shadows and echoes and the constant drip, drip, drip of knotted pipes. A city where dreams are drugs, and the smell of 2 a.m. kebab is a siren call. The city of horse and hawk, of 25 wards and Domine Dirige Nos.

Breathe in the scent of sweat and sewage and rust, breathe deep and know yourself to be a part of it. The grease in your hair and the dirt in the folds of your skin, the leaking shoes and old newspapers holding in warmth, these are your badges of belonging. The tube ticket and aerosol paint can in your pocket are your passport and protection.

The world of London Under is inspired by a combination of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere and Kate Griffen's Matthew Swift series - dark, grimy and somewhat fantastical. It isn't set in the past but there are strong historical elements. It isn't Steampunk but pipes, cogs and goggles are perfectly acceptable kit components. It's historically and mythically influenced urban fantasy. Graffiti is magic and train-track weeds are potion ingredients. Think the original versions of Grimm's fairytales, brought into the modern sewer-world. Think Pan's Labyrinth. Costume can be a mix of modern and historical elements; props should range from bits of rubbish to battered but beautiful.

You'll meet traders trying to earn favours by hawking reclaimed sewer goods, courtiers of the night life who want your support and possibly your territory, druids looking for adventurers to find rare ingredients, and questors in search of the Serpentine's Fang. There are scholars in the forgotten lore of the Tube and smiths who learned their trade at Hammersmith's elbow. Smiling information-gatherers exchange trinkets for secrets and uncover the truth behind morally indefensible shadows

Finding Eden is a live role-playing game of politics and survival set in a dystopian future taking its cues from works such as Brave New World, Farenheit 451 and Brazil, where the populous are not merely oppressed but kept blissfully ignorant of their oppression. No one is sure how long it has been since the Burn. Long enough that much of what came before has been obscured by time and nature.

The countless years after the Burn became known as the Dark Time, generations spent in a bitter struggle for survival in the ruins of the world that was. The old roads that crisscrossed the land gradually fell into disrepair; cities, broken by vine and tree; and man’s space born creations one by one began to plummet to a fiery end.

Spearhead LRP aims to run well written, high quality LRP adventures within a high fantasy campaign that evolves with player action.

We use a classless, points based system that allows your characters to develop exactly how you want them. There are four realms of power, with over 50 talents to choose from. Specialise, or generalise – the choice is yours.

The Murk campaign is set around the human nations of the Terran Ocean. Driven by player choice and action, the campaign story will tell of the challenges faced by the nations as they make difficult decisions of faith, ambition, survival and cultural differences. Zombie Larp

Zombie LARP is a physical action game which recreates the thrills and atmosphere of zombie horror movies. The dead are returning to life and eating the flesh of the living. The question is: what are you going to do about it?

Zombie LARP events are designed to be as accessible as possible: you don’t need props, costume or equipment of your own, and you don’t need to know anything about the dark arts of live-action roleplay. It’s all provided and explained on the day. You turn up with your ticket, and we smear you with fake blood and shove you in!

Our events usually take place in a big empty building. Each “run” of the day begins with most players alive, armed and desperate to escape. Zombies and other unpleasant creatures hunt the humans through darkened hallways, attacking and infecting the humans until they’ve all become undead or until the stragglers have made it to safety. When a round ends we swap the roles around a bit and start again, so that everyone gets to experience the terror from both sides.

We’ve kept the rules to a minimum so that the game is as immersive as possible. Fighting is done using foam-rubber weapons, guns which fire foam darts, and (in the case of zombies) bare hands. This isn’t the type of game which stops to check the rulebook: if you’re surrounded by zombies, you have to fight or run for your life.

Zombie LARP: a mix of team sport, roleplaying game, improvised theatre, carnival funhouse, tactical combat simulation, recurring nightmare, and historical re-enactment of events that will hopefully never happen. But if they do, you’ll be ready.

Shadow Realms LRP

The Borderlands are the sparsely inhabited regions covering the border between the Western Realms and the barbarian and celtic tribes to the north. Characterised by their expansive plains, deep woods and forests, these lands are home to many races and many different cultures. Conflict is frequent and brutal and those that carve out their lives in these harsh lands are resiliant folk indeed.

Shadow Realms is a well-respected Live Role-play Club set up in 1991. An offshoot from the original club which is still running in Devon, SR Northampton was set up in January 2001 when many of Exmouth's senior staff had moved to the Northampton area.

We run full day adventures on Sundays, every few weeks with a fully costumed, masked and armed monster crew and well developed campaigns. Adventures cost £6 per adventure, with discounts available for those with a Shadow Realms membership. New players automatically get their first adventure for half price. Monstering is free, but we usually prefer that you experience Shadow Realms from a player perspective before you monster. Our rules are simple yet flexible. Many well respected members of the LRP community role-play with us and they find our club enjoyable and of a high standard. We hope that you will as well.
